Your support will educate and inspire future leaders

For most Lucy Master’s students the cost of a Cambridge education would be prohibitive, without financial support.

By awarding more studentships each year, we will ensure that we remain the go-to interdisciplinary Cambridge college for people with the motivation to tackle global issues in national and international contexts. Studentships help attract the world’s brightest minds by alleviating the financial pressures of tuition fees and accommodation and living costs.

Studentships ensure those with exceptional academic and leadership potential can:

  1. study at Lucy, benefitting from being part of a world class research community and a unique and supportive College environment
  2. thrive in Cambridge - an academically-stimulating setting like no other
  3. progress into their chosen careers, going on to lead in solving some of the greatest global issues of our time.

With your help during the LucyGives Giving Week, we will support in particular those studying towards one of the 20 interdisciplinary Master’s degrees, helping to find solutions to the world’s grand challenges:

  • 100 gifts of £120 will provide joint-funding for a Conservation Leadership Master’s student
  • 25 gifts of £200 will provide joint-funding for a Social Innovation Master’s student
  • 10 gifts of £1200 will provide joint-funding for a Public Health Master’s student
  • A gift of £12000 will provide joint-funding for a Bioscience Enterprise Master’s student

By supporting interdisciplinary Master’s Studentships you will offer life-changing opportunities to those with exceptional talent, and a motivation to create positive change in society.

What is LucyGives?

Together, we’ll raise funds during LucyGives (18-25 October) to help us level the playing field, ensuring those from under-represented or disadvantaged backgrounds can thrive. We’ll ensure they develop the skills required to achieve their career ambitions, so that they really can go on to make a positive impact on the world.
