Eva is a plant biologist at The Sainsbury Laboratory in Cambridge. Her PhD thesis that she wrote in her home town Berlin was about how cytokinin, a plant hormone, regulates different aspects of plant development and how the plant uses it as a signal. After a short postdoc stay in Helsinki, the group moved to Cambridge and so did she. Since, Eva has been working on cytokinin, root development and got interested as well in the regulation of  translation, the process of making proteins from information coded in the DNA. She also started getting involved in the global goal initiatives, women’s networks and is a member of LCC since 2018. She helps out as a postdoc convenor since 2019.
