Lorena is an engineer with a PhD in brain-computer-interfaces. Her postdoctoral research focuses on understanding how the brain is able to learn in very noise environments and create interventions to facilitate this learning process. She combines different non-invasive brain stimulation methods to induce changes in the brain plasticity, hence, boosting behavioural performance. She also uses machine learning methods to create models in order to understand how the brain processes all this new information and its relation to behaviour.

Lorena works as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Adaptive Brain Lab within Psychology Department.
