Polytimi investigates the plastic changes that human brain circuits undergo during training. Her research aims to develop interventions for facilitating brain plasticity when these brain circuits are compromised. She combines cutting-edge high-field brain imaging methods with non-invasive brain stimulation and pharmacological interventions, to measure training-induced changes in the brain and build causal links with enhanced behavioural performance.

Polytimi works as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Adaptive Brain Lab, Department of Psychology
