Lucy Cavendish College invites applications for the post of Community Health Practitioner. This is an exciting new post which would suit an experienced, sensitive and understanding community health practitioner

The post-holder will advise on all health related matters  and provide treatment for minor illness and injury, referring on where appropriate, ensuring follow-up care and support. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge on the range of support available, you will have a thorough understanding of external support systems and provide clear pathways for support to students. Discretion must be exercised at all times and confidentiality respected. The post-holder will be a qualified and experienced General Nurse and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

With an understanding of duty of care and data protection, you will have previous experience working with students in a secondary or higher education setting and dealing with confidential and sensitive information.  You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly organised, and be able to prioritise and to balance multiple commitments.
