Lucy Cavendish College invites applications for the post of Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner. This is an exciting new post which would suit an experienced, sensitive and understanding mental health and wellbeing practitioner.
Reporting to the Director of Welfare and Wellbeing (known internally as Assistant Senior Tutor – Pastoral), you will have responsibility for all aspects of supporting the mental health and wellbeing of students. Working with members of the wider pastoral team, the primary focus is on providing flexible and responsive one-to-one support to our students.
With an understanding of duty of care and data protection, you will have previous experience working with students in a secondary or higher education setting and dealing with confidential and sensitive information. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly organised, and able to plan and manage ahead while prioritising appropriately. You will hold a recognised professional Mental Health or Counselling qualification, have a proven background of working in a mental health capacity and have provided welfare advice or counselling for at least two years since gaining professional qualification.
