Fiona Crawley has more than 30 years’ experience as a lawyer in private practice. During her time as a partner in Cambridge based firm, Hewitsons, she was involved in a wide range of start-ups and growing companies, assisting in all aspects of their growth strategy, funding and investment, and exploitation of key intellectual property. In 1999 she moved to the London office of Covington and Burling, a US law firm, where she was able to build on her experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly on regulatory issues and working with multinational pharmaceutical companies. From 2002 to June 2013, she was in the London office of Bryan Cave, where she headed the team in London working on IP and commercial contract matters and worked closely with colleagues in the US and elsewhere in Europe. Fiona’s principal focus, throughout her career, has been in technology companies and she has wide experience in the IT, telecoms and pharmaceutical industries. She has particular experience in advising companies developing and exploiting software products and in advising biotechnology companies. She currently works at Fiona Crawley Ltd. as Principal and director/trustee at the Frozen Ark Project.
