All undergraduate UK students in College accommodation who qualify for a Cambridge Bursary will additionally receive a Lucy Cavendish Rent Bursary:
- Those receiving the maximum Cambridge Bursary (£3500) will also get a £500 College Rent Bursary making a total of £4000.
- Those receiving the minimum Cambridge Bursary (£100) will also receive a £1400 College Rent Bursary making a total of £1500.
- A straight-line, sliding scale, of College Rent Bursaries will be given to students receiving Cambridge Bursary awards in between the maximum and minimum amounts.
Key information about your visit
Lucy Cavendish College will be open on 12th September from 09:30am-4:30pm. We will be offering guided tours with our student ambassadors, which includes student accommodation, as well as an opportunity for a 1-1 conversation with our Admissions Team and Student Support Team (in which staff can discuss accommodation and pastoral support). These sessions are available on a drop-in basis and give you a chance to ask any questions about our admissions process and life at Lucy. We will also be offering free refreshments to all guests, including hot drinks.

Please ensure that you enter the College via the entrance on Madingley Road entrance (rather than the entrace via Lady Margaret Road):
Our Open Days Hub will be in the College café in our New Building, with student ambassadors on hand throughout the day to help guide you). Our College site is generally flat and one level, and our New Building café is fully accessible. Parking
We are unfortunately unable to offer parking on-site as our small car park is fully taken up by students and staff during the day. You may like to consider other options such as the Madingley Park, which is within walking distance of the College and also linked to the city with a regular bus service: https://cambridgeparkandride.info/madingleyroad.shtml. Who we are
Lucy Cavendish College's purpose has always been to provide opportunities for underrepresented groups to study at Cambridge. We welcome applications from suitably qualified students of all genders and, uniquely among Cambridge Colleges, we aim to admit a majority of our students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds.
We admit around 135 undergraduate students every year. Our modern, informal campus is a short stroll from the centre of Cambridge, within easy reach of all University departments and facilities.
Our community is truly global, with students from over 60 countries represented across the College. We pride ourselves in having the most socioeconomically diverse student community in Cambridge and we are uniquely committed to widening participation at Cambridge.
