Lucy Cavendish has a thriving community of around 40 postdoctoral researchers at any one time.

Each year, we offer support to 10 new postdocs looking for an affiliation with a college. If you’re passionate about tackling the complex global challenges facing us in the 21st Century, both within and outside academia, we want to hear from you. We usually ask for applications and supporting evidence in September each year.

We can offer you:

  • A flourishing postdoc community with broad interests and active participation in College life, including the Postdoc and Graduate Podium seminar series and social events
  • Invitations to College functions and Formal Hall
  • Dining in College at subsidised rates
  • Access to College facilities such as the café, gym and bar
  • Ability to book guest rooms
  • Access to the College library
  • Access to computing facilities and support normally available to Fellows.

We also liaise with the Postdocs of Cambridge Society (PdOC). PdOC organise a regular schedule of social and career development events – including a weekly lunch at the University Centre, pub and games nights, masterclasses and talks.
