All students, Alumnae, Associates and Fellows are very welcome at Formal Hall which occur on most Thursdays and some Fridays during Term. Some evenings we have a 'subject night' and other nights have particular themes such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and Chinese New Year.

Some Formal Halls are prefaced by a free, optional lecture and discussion on a particular topic or theme, delivered by an external speaker. The full schedule of upcoming talks for the year can be found on the 'Events' section of the College website.

Drinks take place at 7pm in Warburton Hall before dinner starts at 7.30pm. We ask that guests remain seated from after the first grace until the second grace (usually at about 9.15pm) and that mobile phones are switched off.
The booking deadline is midday (12:00hrs) two days before the dinner (i.e. 12:00h on Tuesday for a Thursday Formal Hall). Bookings can be changed or cancelled up to the booking deadline - Dietary requirements or seating requests must be made via the booking system or exceptionally by contacting the formal hall team firstname.lastname@example.org. If you need to cancel after the booking deadline, the cost of the meal will not be refunded.
