Aarav and Jessy have joined Ethicronics as interns to gain hands-on experience in the field of hardware security and innovation.

This summer, we’re proud to celebrate the achievements of two outstanding undergraduate Computer Science students from Lucy Cavendish College, Aarav Bhatt and Jessy Mazuki, who have joined Ethicronics as interns.

Ethicronics was founded by Dr Franck Courbon, in 2022. With a background in electrical engineering, a research career at the University of Cambridge, and prior industry experience at Thales-DIS, Dr Courbon created Ethicronics to revolutionise hardware security and sustainability in the electronics sector. Today, the company offers hardware solutions for clients across aerospace, finance, and IoT, supported by the NCSC for Startups, Innovate UK, and the Cambridge Judge Business School.

Franck says, “Working from our central Cambridge offices, just minutes from their college accommodation, Aarav and Jessy have immersed themselves in the world of startups, exploring electronics security, software engineering, and the art of time management and progress reporting. Their clarity of thought and sharp engineering skills are a real asset to the team and we like to see Ethicronics being another of their stepping stones in their impactful careers to come.

Beyond their daily work, they, alongside two teammates, have advanced to the final phase of a hackathon taking place this September in Kuala Lumpur at CHES 2025 (Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems), the premier venue for research on design and analysis of cryptographic hardware. An outstanding achievement as they spent a very minimum amount of time on this!”

We look forward to seeing where Aarav and Jessy go next, and to following the continued success of Ethicronics and the growing community of Lucy students shaping the future of tech.
