College Access Policy
The Lucy Cavendish café is open to the public during its normal opening hours. Opening times and details of how to visit the café can be obtained from the Porters Lodge as you access the site.
The Porters’ Lodge is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Our porters are dedicated to the wellbeing and safety of all our members, University members, guests and visitors in need of support. The College is equipped with emergency alarms and communication systems to ensure a swift response to any situation. Trained personnel are always on hand to provide assistance and guidance.
Anyone requiring emergency or urgent assistance can contact the Porter's Lodge at any time.
Reducing our carbon emissions
Lucy Cavendish College has received the Platinum Award for Green Impact which was thanks to the great progress made with infrastructure and procurement (e.g. our new building meets and exceeds the Passivhaus standard, and 100% of our electricity is supplied by renewables). The College has also received two awards for leading-edge sustainability research: the Excellence Award and the Innovation Award.
