All Lucy students, staff, Fellows, Emeriti, Associates and alumnae are invited to enter works on the theme of ‘Awakenings’

What are we looking for?

We are looking for original art by members of College in any artistic medium. The competition is open to all students, staff, Fellows, Emeritae, Associates & alumnae. This year’s theme is “Awakenings”. This could mean objects, people or places that reflect “Awakenings” for you, or art that embodies what the theme inspires. Interpret the theme as you wish and be as creative as you like!

We know there are plenty of enthusiastic artists and photographers at Lucy Cavendish, so here is an opportunity for all members of College to showcase their artistic talents. Whether you create watercolours, sculpture, collage, pottery or any other kind of art, enter our competition and maybe win a prize!

Prizes

The first place winner will receive a £50 voucher, with £30 and £20 vouchers for second and third places. The winning entry, as well as the runners up, will be displayed in College from June 2021.

All competition entries will be displayed online at the beginning of Easter Term and the judges’ final decision will be announced on Wednesday 19th May 2021.

How to enter

Submit a digital photograph (or video – see guidelines) of your entry to the Library by 5pm on Wednesday 28th April 2021. We also need the following details, which should be submitted with your entry via email to library@lucy.cam.ac.uk :
