Anne McLaughlin is currently the Sub-Librarian at The Parker Library, the Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge as well as the Director of Studies for Anglo-Saxon, Norse, & Celtic. She oversees the library’s digital and physical resources, including Parker on the Web, the IIIF-compliant database of all of their western medieval manuscripts, and such treasures as the 6th century Gospels of St Augustine and the earliest copy of the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle. After completing her bachelor’s degree at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, she received her MSt. In Medieval Studies from the University of Oxford and a PhD from the Warburg Institute in London. Her current research interests include the intersection of text and image in medieval manuscripts, patterns of readership, the reception of the early medieval in the renaissance, and the encyclopaedic tradition.
