Nathan Smith, FLS, is an educator, historian of science, and museum curator. He received his PhD from the Department of Zoology, University of Cambridge. His research focuses on the changing perceptions of taxonomy and taxonomic subjects and how disciplinary identity shapes practice in the taxonomic sciences. He is a Bye-Fellow and Director of Studies of Zoology for Lucy Cavendish College.
