The College community joined together to celebrate the meaningful commitment of those leaving a gift to Lucy in their will.

On Saturday, May 18th, Lucy Cavendish College hosted a celebratory lunch for over 50 members of the Anna Bidder Society, members of which have generously remembered Lucy in their wills. Society members and their guests enjoyed a drinks reception, followed by a delicious 3-course meal in the dining hall.

Baroness Pauline Perry of Southwark, the Society's patron and former College President, delivered a heartfelt address expressing gratitude to the legators and introducing special guest speaker Mark Florman, CEO of Time Partners.

Mark, who plays a pivotal role in Lucy’s Global Leaders Programme, captivated the audience with an inspiring and uplifting talk about the global future and mega-trends.

Guests praised the event for its delicious food, engaging speakers, and the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and forge new connections within the College community. They said,

“Thank you very much for the invitation. A lovely lunch followed by a stimulating talk.”

“It was an excellent lunch and most enjoyable occasion.”

“It is for me to thank the College for the invitation to such a memorable reception. I was able to chat with Lady Perry and to meet a number of former College students I had not met before while the talk given in the second half was uplifting. The lunch - the fish in particular - was delicious. The chef should be congratulated for it!”

“The Anna Bidder lunch was delightful and we enjoyed ourselves very much.”
