The list was released on 9th December 2022 during the virtual ceremony that EU Embassy in India and Indian Embassy in London attended.
HealthTech Innovation Strategist Devmalya Sarkar, currently a doctoral research scholar at Cambridge University Engineering Department’s Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) and member of Lucy Cavendish College, was recognised as the #EuropeIndia40 leader for the year 2022 by the Europe India Centre for Business and industry for his work on improving meaningful health-tech and digital health innovation. EuropeIndia40 Leaders list, the most authoritative list of next-generation leaders playing a pivotal role in promoting EU-India relations and UK-India relations, was announced during the virtual ceremony on 9th November.
The 2022 Class of EuropeIndia40 list comprises 14 women and 14 men and represents 16 nationalities - Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, UK.
Sujit S Nair, Chairman of Europe India Centre for Business & Industry (EICBI), said, “The relationship between UK and India as well as the EU and India have been improving at a great pace over the past few years as the current generations of leaders in these regions have recognised the huge number of opportunities in the UK India corridor and Eu India corridor. It will require the next generation of leaders in the EU India corridor and UK India corridor to take forward the work done by the current generations of leaders and list like EuropeIndia40 leaders list helps young leaders to showcase their work to a wider audience.”
