The new graphic novels collection would be a historic first for Cambridge University and a key milestone for the graphic novels community.

Lucy Cavendish Fellow, Dr Joe Sutliff Sanders, is spearheading the campaign to set up an exciting new collection of graphic novels in the College library. The collection would be a historic first for the University of Cambridge and it is gathering support from the graphic novels community, including the multi-award-winning author Neil Gaiman.

Neil Gaiman says, “We've come a long way! And it tells us all how far comics have come that an 800-year-old University wants to start a collection of Graphic Novels. To get it off the ground, Joe needs the support of people like us - the comics and Graphic Novels community, whether readers, writers, artists, scholars. It’s a unique opportunity, so I really hope you’ll show your support with a donation.”

Neil Gaiman’s works include the novels Stardust, American Gods, and Coraline. Neil also wrote the comic book series The Sandman which was later adapted into the hit Netflix series. Neil Gaiman's work has been honoured with many awards internationally, including the Newbery and Carnegie Medals.

The College is thrilled to have garnered such support. If you’d like to make a donation, please use the link below:
